The hotel is set in the small village of Portinscale, just one mile (1. six km) from Keswick, with all of its shops, restaurants, country pubs and coffee houses. Each of the rooms is individually furnished with its own unique charm. All rooms have an en suite bathroom with a bath and a shower over the bath. All rooms have TVs, radio alarm clocks, hairdryers, trouser presses and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel's restaurant, Deer's Leap, is one of the finest in the area, offering a superb choice of modern and traditional dishes, with a 4-course dinner menu that changes daily. Direct NorthSouth Route: Leave M6 Motor way at junction 40, Penrith. Pick up the A66 west bound and follow signs to Keswick and Cockermouth. After Approximately 15 miles you will come upon direction signs for Keswick (Disregard all three turnings) and continue on the A66 towards Cockermouth and Workington. Approximately 150 yards after the last direction sign to Keswick, a left turning is signed Portinscale and Grange. Take this Turnoff over a small stone bridge, past the Farmers Arms on the left; Carry on up the hill and through the village until the road bears sharply right. Turn Left on the bend in front of Harney Peak and we are 50 yards further on- on the right. Direct From The East Pick up at Scotch Corner and proceed on to Penrith, then follow NorthSouth Route.
